Wayfinding and Environmental Graphics
2011

A busy NYU campus building with two elevators, one of which is hidden from the entrance, had deteriorating paper directories and homemade signs scattered throughout the lobby. By creating a color coded system that includes flooring, directory and environmental graphics, we gave people the visual cues required to find their destination. The solutions reduced confusion, created a pleasant seating area and reduced the amount of questions the security guard was asked on a daily basis. In collaboration with Matiz Architecture &#38; Design.

University of Miami
Wayfinding Master Plan
2009

As part of the Master Planning process, lead by Cooper, Robertson &#38; Partners, and collaborating with Sylvia Harris, we surveyed users, completed a comprehensive signage inventory and convened stakeholders to understand and analyze the core wayfinding issues within a campus that has grown organically throughout the years.

New York University
Brand Analysis
2009

NYU has the complex problem of being a world class institution in the middle of a world class city. They needed to create a boundary while embracing the urban landscape. We began with open ended surveys, discovering that NYU maps are the key to visitors and students feeling oriented within the campus. Working with Pentagram, we redesigned and tested the map to communicate clarity of boundaries, locations and neighborhoods.

<description>Brooklyn Public Library Capital Budget Request
Brochure and Poster
2009

Overloading government officials with stacks of paper loaded with facts and numbers is never a good way to get their attention. In order to show the complexity of various repairs needed across the 60 buildings, we created a six panel poster for information at a quick glance.

Brooklyn Pulbic Library
Library Card + pocket guide
2008

The redesign of the library catalog prompted a need to reassign all library card numbers and therefore launch a new library card. It was a unique opportunity to showcase our new brand and modern approach to serving the people of Brooklyn. An easy-to-use library card holder fit in a wallet and featured a pocket guide on branch locations and card use.
